When we created the concept for the Cosentino City Centre Stockholm we were captivated by the extensive sustainability work of our client Cosentino, a manufacturer of innovative surfaces for the world of design and architecture.

The left-over minerals from their production of composite stone slabs are turned into something the company calls synthetic soil, a mineral rich grow media with natural origin. This inspired us to highlight the company’s sustainability work through large planters inserted in the floor, when we created the concept for the entrance hall for Cosentino City Centre in Stockholm. The floor planters create the sensation that plants are growing directly out of the Dekton stone floor.

This became an effectful way to tell the story of innovative sustainability work from the raw cut stone to the finished kitchen counter top.
